II. "Slate takes its podcasts to YouTube" Slate is making its lineup of podcasts, including Slow Burn, Political Gabfest, and Amicus With Dahlia Lithwick, available on the streamer. Slate is following the lead of legacy podcast outlets like Freakonomics Radio Network and NPR in bringing audio-only shows to YouTube.

III. Spotify Bolsters Video Podcasts With Markiplier Deal: The move comes as the Daniel Ek-led company has been growing its video content, launching video podcasts in 180 markets last year. Popular video podcasts on the service include Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy and Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain.

I.  Capsho has launched v2.0 of the company’s platform, which allows podcasters to turn their podcast episode’s audio or video recordings into marketing content designed to help amplify and promote their message.

It launches tomorrow, featuring the likes of Jamie Morton from My Dad Wrote a Porno, TV’s Michelle Ackerely, James Longman - executive producer on the Late Late Show with James Cordon, Jess Rudkin from BBC Bristol, Dave Vitty - formerly of the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, and more.

I. Downloads And Reach Grew For Big Publishers In October; iHeart Again Tops Podtrac Ranking. October was a month of treats, not tricks, for podcasters as listener and downloads grew and Podtrac says among the publishers it measures, 16 of the top 20 experienced gains compared to a month earlier.

II. Acast Revenue Grew 21% During Third Quarter Despite An Uneven Ad Market. Despite a slowdown in its business, especially in North America, Acast reports its third quarter revenue grew 21% from a year ago to $29.9 million. Marketers are booking their ads later than usual, however.

III. CBS News Hires Network News Vet To Lead Podcast Development.: In a signal CBS News has bigger plans for podcasting, the company has hired a network news veteran to oversee content for CBS News’ slate of podcasts. Megan Marcus rejoins CBS as VP of Podcast Editorial at Paramount.
